Imminent flood: London

I am sending out the following word which is drawn from a number of people who meet together on a regular basis to pray, share revelation and seek the Lord. Releasing a corporate word is indeed a challenge but I am more than happy to stand behind and with each and everyone of the names below. My personal perspective is that we have entered a new season for the UK with increasing pressure coming on the capital. This does not mean that our best
days are not ahea d of us - they most definitely are, but the most challenging days are the ones ahead. Judgement is a challenging word - but we have to mature in our thinking to realise that judgment is not the opposite of mercy: mercy can come through judgment. Judgment is against
institutional and oppressive 'empires'. Those who align themselves to that suffer - as also sadly do the innocent at those times.The church can limit the suffering in those situations where it becomes free from a spirit of self-preservation.

Weigh what follows and I am grateful that whatever a perspective is reached that we are in this together for a future filled with the presence of the Lord. ~ Martin

24th February 2006 LONDON AND UK

The following is a summary of prophetic insights received over recent years concerning London and the United Kingdom, and the statement below results from a series of meetings held between t he Autumn of 2005 and mid February 2006, of a prophetic "roundtable" (names listed below).

At a meeting on 16th February a consensus was reached - which leaves us with a responsibility to declare what is being discerned - and so feel it right to release it into the public domain. The intention in releasing the statement below, is to enable both those in relevant authorities, and the church, to prepare for events which we believe will take place.............

"We see the need to warn and to prepare for major flooding from the Thames - covering significant areas of the London flood plain - inclusive of the financial centre of the city. It is foreseen that this will be of sufficient magnitude to cause damage and destruction to property - necessitating the relocation of people from the area. There would be an attendant risk of injury and even loss of life, in flooding of this nature.

Consequential to this wou ld be disruption to residential, governmental and commercial life in the affected areas. The urgency we feel in the release of this is communication is due to our
belief that the above events are imminent".

FOR THE CHURCH:

In the light of this, we see a responsibility to urgently alert the church of the nation to prepare, both in prayer and in practical measures. Spiritually - as a nation - we face the consequences of the frequent embracing of unrighteousness, both in our actions and legislature, and therefore the reaping of what we have sown, particularly from more recent years.

As "great darkness" covered a former generation (see Isaiah 60:1-3), it provided the context for light and glory to be intensified over God's people. What we now see coming is a time of opportunity and challenge to the Church of our nation - to be light in darkness and to declare and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus.

In terms of intercession, we need to pray for mercy, protection and preservation of life as well as "damage limitation" over the region and the nation. The issue will be for the Kingdom of God to have maximum advantage. We sense also that it will be a "wake up" call, spiritually, to both
church and nation. Many in the nation will be seeking answers as to why this has happened. God's people need to be prepared both to stand, themselves, in a time of trauma and also to bring comfort and understanding to others.

We need to pray for the church to rise to this opportunity.
We see the further need to pray for government (local and national) - for the receiving of this information as being both trustworthy and timely, and for wisdom in their responses to what it could require to be put in place.

On a practical level, we encourage the church to begin to take a lead from the US churches in the New Orleans disaster and to consider p reparing practical facilities, such as refuge, accommodation and care, for those who may be displaced from the flood areas.

Warning Over London - Urgent

Thank you for this urgent e-mail regarding your country. Yours was the second, as I received this same message from Dana Millar a few days prior. I will watch and pray accordingly for your nation.

This timing is very interesting to me. I have been "watching" for signs in March of this year as I have been sounding the trumpet to the watchmen in my area (Kansas City) throughout the month of March; calling for much prayer and fasting.

There happen to be 2 eclipses in March, both of them on important dates on the Hebrew calendar. The first eclipse takes place on March 14 and it is a prenumbral lunar eclipse. (The Rabbis teach that a lunar eclipse bodes for Israel). March 14 on the Hebrew calendar is Purim (Esther 9:1-17). Isn't it interesting that the King of Persia in the Book of Esther signed a decree to kill all the Jews and today, the current leader of Persia (Iran) is calling for Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth. Very important date that this partial lunar eclipse takes place on! We must pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!

The second eclipse is a TOTAL solar eclipse which takes place on March 29. This date happens to be the Eve of the Biblical New Year (the day before Nisan 1) and is the day after the Israeli elections for Prime Minister. This eclipse can be best viewed from Egypt and in fact there are many tour groups going to Egypt for this event. The Rabbis teach that a solar eclipse (this one is very important because this is a total eclipse) bodes for the world.

So, I have been watching for events to unfold in the month of March, and your e-mail with the timing of March involved is of great interest to me and I take it very seriously.
